EFT

What happens during an
EFT session

If this is your first session

You will receive a confirmation e-mail with a health form attached, which I recommend you print out and take the time to read and fill in in order to save time at the beginning of the session.

The first session will last 1 hour 30 minutes and you will be comfortably seated: the first half hour will allow us to get to know each other, explain EFT, discuss your health history and find out why you are coming for this session.
I will then give you a brief introduction to the Emotional Freedom Technique.

the various points

I will then teach you the different points on the head, face, torso and hands on which we will apply pressure.
All questions are welcome, because in EFT it’s essential that you understand what you’re doing.
So that you can practise on your own afterwards, but also so that you can be fully involved.

If this is a follow-up session

The session will last an hour.
I would also advise you to prepare in advance. I encourage you to take notes and record what happened during and after the previous session. It’s a good idea to share with me what you’ve noticed, what you’ve released, what’s changed and what’s new, and what you’d like to work on now.

The person who comes for an EFT session does not expect the practitioner to administer medication or advice; they will be the determining factor in the session. The practitioner will listen to them, guiding and supporting them towards their own liberation, relief and well-being.

How to get the best benefits from an EFT session

I encourage you to prepare in advance
so that you can get the most out of your session.
And to dedicate this time to you and only you.

Switch off your phone, so you’re not disturbed by ringing tones that take you back to your routine.

Arrive at least 5 minutes early, so that you feel calmer and more receptive.

Stay well hydrated

Bring a notebook or paper to take notes: you can record advice or key moments.

Be intentional and clearly define the reason why you're here, and what you want to evolve or change. This will help you to make your wish come true.

The different stages
of an EFT session

If there is a pattern to the way an EFT session unfolds, each one will give you a different experience, because you will come to the session in a different context, state of mind or state of health and with a different need each time.

1.

Introduction

At the beginning of the session, I invite you to identify the source of your blockage. I will ask you to assess the level of your distress on a scale of 0 to 10.

2.

Tapping round

We'll start by tapping the acupressure points while verbalising what's causing you stress, then using positive phrases.

3.

Ratings

We will assess your stress level again. We will continue the tapping round until you reach a level below 4.

4.

Liberation

When you reach level 4, you'll be liberated. You'll feel lighter, relaxed, stronger and ready to get on with your life and move forward again with confidence.

In some cases, the person may not be able to fully release the emotion or distress in a single session. They may make another appointment to continue, or they may notice a change between the two sessions and be able to work on something else.

It will also be possible for the person to continue the work at home, on their own, as they will have acquired the tools.

Practical information

We generally recommend 2 or 3 sessions a week apart.

EFT is most beneficial face-to-face, but if you are unable to travel, it is possible to meet by video-conference via WhatsApp, Zoom or by telephone wherever you are in the world.

A group EFT session can also be organised, if a number of people wish to work on the same subject, but above all to each work on a personal issue
while benefiting from the support and energy created within the group.
